Our aim in 2011 is to continue on from the fantastic success we had in 2010. As a stable we have five horses rated over 100. Amongst the familiar names including Canadian Danehill & Prohibit, we have added some exciting prospects in the older horse department. We shall have a group of three-year-olds, being a mixture of proven winners and unexposed individuals. We also have around ten, nicely bred two-year-olds, a mixture of homebreds and those purchased from sales. We hope all that follow the yard will enjoy the up-coming season.
2010 - 21 winners was our final tally for the season. We once again managed to better our previous season and win better-graded races, hence our prize money
went up on last year.
All the staff have done a wonderful job in achieving our best year to date. In addition to our GB season we had several horses travel overseas
to race in Dubai, France and Sweden.
The yard sends out a steady stream of winners annually from horses that are either relatively inexpensive or cast-offs. Robert believes that most horses, once racing, tend to keep themselves reasonably fit so his job is to maintain their enthusiasm and health. His facility has a dedicated and highly skillful team working along side him which is paramount to maintain such high standards.

Robert, upon completion of his A levels at school in Norfolk, immediately began work in Newmarket for trainer Gavin Pritchard-Gordon. Whilst working there he was keen to ride in races so took out a licence and promptly rode a winner at Brighton on his second attempt. Robert Cowell has a family which is steeped in history with Robert's father having owned, bred and raced horses since early 1960.
